Commissioning Our Street Reach Team

This morning at both services – 8:45 & 10:30 am – we met our outreach team for StreetReach and commissioned them to serve our Lord this week.  It was a great feeling seeing so many young people and leaders ready to give a week to Jesus!

Jason told us to get a good look and a good smell this morning – because this morning was the cleanest they would be – lol.  Our team has given a week of their summer to serve Jesus.  Some are using their vacation time.  They are making a sacrifice to leave their AC at home – their video games – iPods – etc – to serve our Lord.

We talked this morning about Christ’s sacrifice at the cross and how many in the church today seem unwilling to be inconvenienced to serve God.  Many want to serve – as it fits into their schedule.  Here’s hoping that several from the church who have not already signed up to help this week will reach out to serve Christ this week – either during the yard work in the day time or during the evening programs.  Each evening they will be in inviting the community to activities as well.  Check them out here.  Events will include a water night – a family fun night – dinner and a movie night – pool night – family fun night at the park and more!  Come have some fun with our StreetReach team and the community!

More pictures and details as the week unfolds.
