God Has Our Back

1 Corinthians 10:13

God is Faithful

Pic of Ray 11302014Everyone likes a faithful friend – that is why so many dog owners love their dogs – because dogs are known as faithful pets/friends. I was talking to someone in the office today and they were talking about their little dog and how they would greet them when they came home and sit on their lap. Their pet has just died – after many years of faithful service and relationship not only with my office mate but also the whole family.

We have a little dog as well and most recently had a black lab succumb to a battle with cancer. I miss Jordan and will miss Henry when he passes. Pets – especially dogs (I have no experience with cats – but they normally don’t fetch things and are known to be finicky) – are great friends and are usually very faithful. I love the commercial about the dog waiting for his master to come home – worried about him!

Today’s passage talks about God’s faithfulness. God is faithful in so many ways. Today’s passage tells us about His faithfulness in not allowing us to be tempted beyond our ability to stand up – as we turn to Him. Here is the whole verse – 1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

I love faithful friends. I just asked a friend to pray for me and his response was – I’m praying for you – I have your back! We all love having friends that have our back – faithful friends. Please know that Jesus is faithful and wants to develop a deep relationship with you/us – one where He has our back – at all times!  Trust in Jesus and He will not fail you/us!

Just something to think about today as you go on your way.
