What Is Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

The Christmas Spirit

Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin  will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Pic of Ray 11302014OK – just a simple question this morning – not much of a devotional thought – but what is your favorite Christmas movie of all time?  With Christmas being abused by commercialism – what Christmas movie or even TV show – do you think brings out the spirit of Christmas the best.  It doesn’t have to be a religious movie – but one that reminds you the most of the true Christmas spirit.

My favorite of all time would have to be It’s a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed made in 1946.  There is just something about the older movies – maybe it is the morals and values – that speak to me! Just a fresh movie with no foul language or nude scenes. I also think many of us have thought of what life would be if we weren’t here.

Another Christmas movie that is a favorite is A Christmas Story – based on a family in the 1940’s.  The Red Ryder BB gun – the pink bunny suit – the tongue stuck to a pole in the freezing cold are all images that stick (no pun intended) in my memory.  The family is a big part of Christmas – even when our family is ideal.

What is your favorite Christmas movie?  How can we make Christmas a time to remember Jesus and family this year?

Just something to think about today as you go on your way.

Look for other questions during this Christmas season.
