Remember The Wonders Of God

Psalm 105:5

Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,

If someone were to ask us to name our top three blessings – how would we answer? Would we say our health? Would we say our family? Would we answer our salvation – our relationship with Jesus? How would we answer?

How has God blessed us? What are some of the wonders we might remember – some of the blessings from God? I might mention that moment I knew Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. I might mention my wedding day. I might mention the birth of my three daughters and my five granddaughters. I might respond with the time I walked away from being t-boned by a tractor-trailer. What would you mention as blessings – wonders – from God?

Here’s today’s passage in partial context. Psalm 105:1–7 – Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 4 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 5 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, 6 you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob. 7 He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

The Psalmist tells us to make known among the nations what God has done. We are to share the wonders of God – the blessings of God. We are to tell somebody about Jesus in our lives.

The Psalmist tells us to let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. We are to be glad – we are to celebrate the wonders of God.

Count your blessings – name them one by one – the old song reminds us. We need to not only remember the wonders of God in our lives – but we need to tell someone. We need to give God the glory for what He has done in our lives.

Just something for us to think about today as we go on our way.
