Hospitality to Strangers

Hebrews 13:2

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

img_0063-2I can remember – as a child and even later as an adult – picking up hitchhikers. It was no big deal. People were broken down or simply did not have a ride and were walking until someone picked them up. Hospitality to strangers wasn’t something foreign to many – just a few short years ago.

I can remember – as a child and even later as an adult – stopping to help someone broken down on the side of the road. Many a times I helped persons change tires because they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Hospitality to strangers wasn’t something foreign to many – just a few short years ago.

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

Has the lack of rain impacted your yard or garden plans (we haven’t had much rain at all since early July). Have you broken any hearts yet this fall? I hope your plans for the fall and into 2020 (which promises to be a year of much change) are all you’ve hoped.

What – if anything – have you decided to change in your life recently? What have we planned to do differently this fall and into 2020? Setting goals is important – because we all know – if you aim at nothing – you’re bound to hit it! What goals have you – have we – set?
