Contemporary Worship Coming Soon

Psalm 150:6

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

We’re planning a NEW contemporary worship service at Trinity Church – Annapolis, MD – starting soon. We will begin with an evening service on Sunday or Saturday or another day yet to be determined. The target audience – anyone who wishes to attend. Our desire is to share the Gospel with more folk in 2023 because Trinity is the Place to Be in ’23.

Our goal is to establish a second worship service at Trinity to draw others to Christ. By establishing it at a different time and maybe day – we hope to draw people who cannot come on Sunday morning because of work or family obligations. We also hope to draw folks (even praise team members) that are committed to another church on Sunday mornings – but would like to serve or be ministered to themselves. I know – as a pastor and pastor’s family all of my life – a place near home where I could be fed and uplifted – would be a blessing. Maybe some area pastors will stop by to be uplifted and maybe even to share a word from time to time.

Here is today’s passage in context. Psalm 150:1–6 – Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

Meeting Amazing People

Exodus 33:22

When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

Have you ever met someone that put you into awe mode? I’ve met some famous people over the years – and I’ve felt honored to meet them. I personally met several ball players over the years. I’ll name a few (some of our younger readers might not know some of them) – Johnny Unitas – Jim Palmer – Boog Powell – Eddie Murray (I remember him standing in the rain to give me an autograph) – Brooks Robinson – Harmon Killebrew – Frank Howard – Raymond Berry – Frank Robinson – Wes Unseld – Earl Monroe – Paul Blair – Don Buford – Al Bumbry – Justin Tucker – Matt Stover – and others. I once refereed a basketball game at old Andover High School where the visiting team was made up of Oriole ball players and others. I remember giving a technical foul before the game began – to Al Bumbry – for dunking in warmups – yes – I was a sticker for the rules back in the day.

Have you ever met someone that put you into awe mode? Maybe – with how close we are to Washington – you have met some politicians – like Presidents or others. Maybe – some of my friends who work with FCA have met some current players. I know I attended a dinner recently and met Coach Harbaugh along with some players.
