What Excites Us?

1 Corinthians 7:12-14

If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband.

What excites us? Did we get excited during the NBA or Hockey playoffs – even if our team didn’t go far? My favorite teams made it to the playoffs but didn’t go far. Did watching the NBA Finals excite us? Did watching the Stanley Cup Finals excite us?

Or are you like some – are you looking for the strongest of a weak list of candidates? Remember not to take your party into the booth when you vote – take your faith instead. Which candidate has the Christian values you support? Who would support abortion or who is for the life of the unborn child for instance? Who is out to protect the environment that God gave us dominion over?  Who stands for Christian values?  Who supports traditional marriage?  There are so many issues that as Christians we should be concerned about and we should search for the candidate who thinks as we do. Have you become excited about the election? Continue reading
