Lord, If You Are Willing?

Matthew 8:2

“Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

profileWhat are you willing to do? Usually that list would be limited to things you can do as well as thing that you want to do. When Jesus was teaching among the people – a person with leprosy came up to Him and said to Him – “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Here is today’s passage in partial context. Matthew 8:1-4 – 1When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” 3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone.
