With My Whole Heart I Will Seek After Jesus

Psalm 119:10

With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!

profileYesterday we talked about letting nothing remain in us that was sin.  We talked about free will and we urged each other to remove sin from our lives – each of us praying about what hinders our walk with Jesus.  I could have taken a long time and listed the normal sins – but I wanted folks to do their own laundry list of sins.  We don’t all struggle with the same things.

Listen to what the author of Hebrews has to say about this subject.  Hebrews 12:1 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, ESV  In the NIV it says it this way – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
