Blessed Are the Peacemakers

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

I had a friend in High School who was pretty big for his age – lol.  He was very strong – and played football.  A number of times I watched him step in between two guys getting ready to go at it and calm the storm before it erupted.  He was a major force at our school.  He was a peacemaker by his mere size.

Sunday I saw Ray Rice (Ravens running back) and Phil Taylor (Browns nose tackle) go at each other for a few moments – toe to toe.  A few players tried to break them up – trying to be a peacemaker – trying to keep both players in the game.  Again – these players and the peacemakers are huge people!
